Welcome to the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside, part of the oldest and largest women's membership movement in the United States. Established in 1929, the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside is a non-profit organization serving more than 2,500 women and children from communities on the westside of Los Angeles.

Our mission: strengthened by diversity, the YWCA empowers women and girls by creating opportunities for growth and leadership.

In pursuit of our mission, the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside offers women and children of all backgrounds, ages, races and religions access to activities, classes and programs that promote lifelong personal growth and wellness in a friendly, supportive environment. We offer both community service programs and fee-for-service programs, including:

• The Westside's only Housing & Education Program for young women exiting foster care
• The Westside's only evening high school diploma program that includes a childcare/literacy program (GED/LIFE)
• Licensed, year-round school-aged childcare
• Encore, an exercise and peer support program for breast cancer survivors
• A year-round girls basketball league.
• Home Schooler's Club offering a variety of classes and workshops
• Classes for adults: fitness, dance, art, gentle exercise, self-defense, yoga, and more.
• Classes for children: dance, art, music, gymnastics, martial arts, theater arts, and more.
• Classes for parents: Parent & Me classes, Mommy & Me Pilates, Infant/Toddler Program.
• Special workshopsand lectures on parenting, investing, health topics; special events
• GIA - Girls Programs! A Middle School Leadership Program.
• A Place For Parents: Offers programs for parents, infants and toddlers including classes, support groups and trainings.
• TechGyrls - Free program for girls ages 10-14 to raise awareness in technology/computers.
