The YWCA Santa Monica / Westside is excited to announce a new fundraising partnership with WOWIO.com, an eBook/multi-media company that is supporting our efforts to empower women and girls in our community through its "Gifting for a Cause" program.
Wowio.com is a digital resource that provides eBooks for people to read online for FREE! Readers can purchase the eBooks they're reading, and they also have the option to send eBooks to friends and family as a gift for a reasonable fee. Through "Gifting for a Cause," when someone sends an eBook as a gift, they automatically make a $1 donation to one of Wowio's nonprofit partners, including the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside.
There are a variety of eBooks to fit anyone's interests, and the cost to gift an eBook ranges from $0.99 and up, fitting anyone's budget. Some of the more inexpensive gift options can be found in the categories of Articles and Essays, Classics, and Comics. You can choose from a library of over 5,000 titles including magazines and journals, graphic novels, children's books, travel guides and more - basically, there is something for everyone!
Every time you give the gift of literacy through Wowio's "Gifting for a Cause," you make a donation to the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside, which supports our efforts to change the lives of women and girls in our community.
