Joining, Getting Involved

The YWCA invites you to join. Our members represent a full spectrum of races, faiths, and ages. Belonging to the YWCA represents more than simply an opportunity to take part in our programs. It signals support for a movement that is committed to promoting racial justice, peace, freedom, and dignity for all people, and especially the empowerment of women and children.

Joining the YWCA is inexpensive and simple. Membership fees are $17.00 for children, $35.00 for adults and $25.00 for adults aged 55 plus. Scholarships are available. Please call Linda Garcia, Manager of Member Services, at (310) 452-3881, for more information on membership. You may join in person at the YWCA, by telephone, or by faxing the membership form to our offices (310/392-7578). We are unable to accept forms via email at this time. We also welcome your time and talents as a volunteer. We have many opportunities where you can lend an hour or more by joining a committee, coaching a sport, serving as a consultant, teaching a skill, or tutoring on a college level the young women in our Housing & Education Program. Please call our Executive Director Sally Young, to discuss where your talents might be best suited. We invite you to join our more than 125 volunteers who make this a great community resource.
