THERE'S NOTHING LIKE GIRL POWER! GIA (Girls in Action) is a FREE individualized leadership and empowerment program for middle school girls. The goal of GIA is to provide an environment in which a diverse group of middle school girls can build their personal strengths and decision making abilities while exploring meaningful possibilities for their futures. All program activities, workshops, guest speakers, and fieldtrips focus on the core areas of:
Self-Esteem & Empowerment
Healthy Lifestyles
Community Connection
Career Development
Communication Skills
Cultural Awareness
Transportation to the YWCA is provided for John Adams Middle School students.
The program meets weekly from 3:00 pm-5:30 pm
Mondays: 7thgrade
Tuesdays: 6th grade
Fridays: 8th grade

Being a GIA girl I'm always at the YWCA! Its a Great place to meet caring and wonderful people, everyone is diverse and warm. Whatever be the purpose of your visit , they can help you keep a balence in your life, mentaly and physically.
